Our grooming salon is stocked with everything needed to make your pet look their best.All pets are given two shampoos using top quality Coat Handler shampoo, followed by Coat Handler coat & skin conditioner. Ears are also cleaned during the bath with Oxy Fresh ear cleaner from the states which has a drying agent in it, so no worry about an ear infection. After your pet has been towel-dried, they are completely dried with a high velocity dryer (specifically for dogs) and thoroughly brushed and combed out. We always use warm water during their bath. Nails are filed using a Drummel file so we don’t cut their kwik. If needed dogs are given a sanitary trim and their feet are neatened up and trimmed.When your pet is finished, they are placed in a clean and safe modular cage with frest water until they are picked up. We specialize in the Terrier Group.Special care and attention is given to senior pets. Please be sure you pet has had the opportunity to relieve themselves before bringing them in for their appointment since they will be confined for awhile. A flea & tick protection is a MUST!! We work VERY hard to keep our facility free of fleas and ticks without using poisonous sprays. After almost 5 years and a few thousand dogs later, we now require that your dog be on a flea and tick program, preferably Frontline Plus or Advantix, before being brought into our facility.From my years of experience down here, it seems that Frontline Plus or Advantix is the best product available. I am not a vet and I am only sharing my experiences dealing with a few thousand dogs down here.Frontline Plus or Advantixabsorbs into the dogs’ glands in their hair follicles and once a tick comes in contact even with the hair, they will die within 24 hrs. Personally, I usually apply Frontline Plus to my own dogs every 3-4 weeks to be sure it stays in their system. Frontline Plus only works on ticks for a maximum of 4 weeks. It is listed on the box that it can kill fleas for up to 3 months, but NOT ticks. It needs to be applied at least monthly.Grooming appointments are required, especially from November to March, because we DO NOT rush our work. Walk-Ins are difficult to squeeze in, but we do our best to accommodate our clients who have emergencies that may come up.
